I am standing to be your hard-working Labour
councillor for Pitsea South East during this By-Election
because we need someone who will put Pitsea first. I
have detailed here some of the changes I would like to
PRESERVE OUR CULTURE – Pubs are a central part of
England’s culture and for hundreds of years the Barge
Pub had been at the heart of our community. This
important local asset has been closed for too long! As
your new hard-working Labour councillor, I’ll get
straight to work to lobby for the Barge Pub to be
reopened to preserve our heritage.
INVESTMENT IN PITSEA TOWN CENTRE – Our town
centre is in need of investment now more than ever.
While the Billericay Conservatives find the money for
free parking in Billericay after giving their councillors
handsome pay rises, Pitsea town centre still does not
have a public toilet for residents to use. As your
councillor, one of my first acts to support our town
centre and local residents will be to fight for a public
convenience to be installed.
EVERY RESIDENT SHOULD FEEL SAFE IN PITSEA – To
me, every resident should feel safe in our community.
But unfortunately, Conservative cuts to our police force
means crime is rising in Pitsea. That’s why I’m fighting
for investment in CCTV in our underpasses to the town
centre and to Pitsea Station to help make our area safer.
On a final note, me and my Labour colleagues are
backing England to end 52 years of hurt this summer
and win the World Cup. Come on England!
The by-election takes place in Pitsea South East on the 21st June, don’t forget to vote Labour!
